Il silenzio di Merleau-Ponty Sul senso del gusto e l’estesiologia di Plessner

Pino Visone

Abstract

The paper analyzes the close relation between Sensoriality, Perception and Corporeality in the Merleau-Ponty’s Phenomenology of Perception. As this relationship does not take into account the sense of taste, then the question is the meaning of this silence and its possible reasons. Does this silence concern the methodological setting of his work or the specific role played in it by corporeality?

Pino Visone received his PhD in Philosophy and Politics with his dissertation on Corporeality through the dialogue between Merleau-Ponty and Husserl, and some positions of French culture of the twentieth century. He is working now (since 2006) as a Fellow with the Chair of Semiotics and the Philosophy of Language at University of Naples 'L'Orientale'.
